In CN warehouses we follow the below steps:
- Wear gloves before packing – that’s important to protect human and lobster.
- Be sure that the claws of every lobster are secured by rubber bands. In nature, claws are the weapon lobster uses for fighting, don’t let them hurt anyone.
- Quality check. Select and separate the active lobsters with weak or dead ones.
- Grade lobsters by their weights; and separate culls and two-claw lobsters.
- In turn, put dry thirsty paper, live lobsters, soaked thirsty paper, and ice gel packs into the case.
- Tape the box, then label it. Ready for shipping now!
Yes, because the air freighter charges us at multi-step prices based on weights. The more space you need, the lower unit price we get.
For overseas, the minimum order quantity is 50 cases (1,500 lb). For the order with less than 50 cases, we ask for an extra airfreight charge of $0.35/lb.
Contact us, inform one of our team members of your preferred size, a rough quantity, destination, and expected arrival date, we will get a quote for you soon. See below for a quote sample:
Normally, a weekly quote remains valid until the end of the week. The price of lobster changes according to the season, fluctuation of boating price, airfreight rate, etc.
The breakdown of size might be merged into a wider one. For example, in the above quote sample, we might send lobsters of 1.50-2.0 lb at $14.25/lb, 2.0-4.0 lb at $14.75/lb.
The prices from us are CNF; CNF stands for Cost and Freight.
That is, we, as supplier, are responsible for freight-related costs, in addition to goods. You, as buyer, are responsible for good insurances, duty fee, and customs clearance. You might take those costs into consideration when you’re distributing to your customers.
In short, supplier is responsible for all the way to the destination port/airport, while buyer is responsible for the rest from the port/airport to the final stop (e.g. warehouse, market).
Though our entire team always makes effort to keep lobster safe, something unpleasant might happen. We understand your concern.
